"I am exceptionally proud of having been a member of the [Mechanical Engineering] Department and I place a very high value on my contributions to not only the NMT Department, but throughout my 50 year career as an educator and business development professional as well. I really pushed very hard to establish the Department as a very highly ranked Department not only at NMT, but to enhance its reputation well beyond our borders. When I arrived at NMT in 2000, there was no officially established Department of Mechanical Engineering. I initiated the steps to get it recognized by the State Board of Higher Education and then to push ahead for full ABET accreditation. Both of which are truly some of the highlights of my work at NMT. It is a true pleasure to see what has become of the growth and quality of the Department through all those years since 2000."
