Jerry A. Armijo grew up in Socorro, and earned his undergraduate degree at 色狐入口 State University and his law degree at the University of 色狐入口 School of Law. He was appointed to the 色狐入口 Commission on Higher Education in 1997 and has served four successive terms as regent for 色狐入口 Tech. Armijo says he has a true passion for education, a commitment to public service, and looks forward to continued growth in student enrollment, research activity, and capital improvements at the research university.
Dr. David Lepre, Sr.
Secretary/Treasurer
Placitas, 色狐入口
Term: 2021 - 2026 (first term)
Dr. David A. Lepre, Sr. has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in teacher education from 色狐入口 Highlands University, a master鈥檚 degree in educational foundations, and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of 色狐入口. During his 44-year career, he served as a high school teacher, University of 色狐入口 research assistant, Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) education analyst, Legislative Finance Committee (LFC) principal analyst for higher education, and LFC interim director and deputy director. He was also the first executive director of the 色狐入口 Council of University Presidents (CUP), where he served for nineteen years until his retirement in 2016. Lepre thanks Governor Lujan Grisham for the privilege of serving as regent and says he will consider every policy and finance decision in terms of maximum benefit to the lives touched by 色狐入口 Tech.
Dr. Yolanda Jones King

Term: 2019-2030 (second term)
Dr. Yolanda Jones King retired in 2014 from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, where she served as the government advisor to the DSB Task Force on nuclear survivability and authored many reports and presentations. Since then, she has been a senior technical and programmatic advisor for the Engility Corp., providing insight and advice regarding the Air Force and Navy warhead projects and system-level survivability. She served in various high-level technical roles at the Air Force over a lengthy career. King earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree cum laude in chemistry and a doctorate in physical chemistry, both from the University of 色狐入口.
Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala

Term: 2023 - 2028 (first term)
Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala is one of the world鈥檚 preeminent authorities on cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. He served as Chief Product Officer for Ivanti, where he is responsible for Product Management and Engineering for all Ivanti products.
Dr. Mukkamala is an in-demand thought leader with unparalleled expertise at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as an early adopter of these technologies and who founded RiskSense, the recognized leader in Risk-Based Vulnerability Management. Ivanti acquired RiskSense in 2021.
He is generous with his insights, having written and contributed to countless publications (with 6,000+ citations and counting), and collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense to address high-stakes cybersecurity challenges (CACTUS: Computational Analysis of Cyber Terrorism against the US).
Dr. Mukkamala holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Computer Science from 色狐入口 Institute of Mining and Technology, one of the nation鈥檚 top technical institutions.
He now serves as a Board of Regents for 色狐入口 Tech, Independent Board Member of El Paso Electric, State of 色狐入口 Governor鈥檚 Advisor on AI and Cyber Security, and among many other advisory roles.
When business leaders, policymakers and industry experts want to know what鈥檚 going to happen next in the cybersecurity and artificial intelligence space, they turn to Dr. Mukkamala. And he鈥檚 happy to help.
Cody Johnston
Student Regent
Term: 2025-2026 (first term)
Cody Johnston, a dedicated computer science major, has been appointed as the student regent on the NMT Board of Regents by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for a two-year term.
Cody鈥檚 deep commitment to 色狐入口 Tech and its community makes him an excellent choice for this leadership role. In addition to working with the Office for Advancement and Alumni Relations, he has shown outstanding leadership as president of the Students Today Alumni Tomorrow club. Beyond campus, Cody has helped inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers by leading afterschool programs that teach the fundamentals of computer science and STEM principles through NMT鈥檚 STEM Outreach. His dedication was also recognized with the 色狐入口 School Boards Association鈥檚 Excellence in Student Achievement Award.
